Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is given an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to determine as many (or as few) numbers as she wants. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your desired numbers with a every day oldmarker like you had when you were in school.

Now that you’ve marked your numbers, carry the keno card back to the person at the keno booth. The clerk will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will get exactly $.00 for your time spent.

Ok, there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let’s get on to something a bit more advanced, yes?

Once you’ve picked your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action take place on a video monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed for all to see. If you checked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You really want to get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, and a new keno game will almost certainly get going within 5 minutes.

Strategy #2: always make sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the maximum number of rounds (matching the amount of tickets) is played out, you will then be able to get off your numb rump and go collect your winnings.

Still another opportunity is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which normally allows you make number selection for 30 rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

So now you know a handful of required schemes for winning keno. If you are an accomplished keno player, they may seem to be quite obvious. Still, it doesn’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a beginner player, every tiny bit of advice will help make your keno playing more enjoyable.
