Keno Schemes That Work

It might not commonly be considered the best game in the realm of betting, but keno has tons of keen fans. And so it should! It’s a consistently exciting lotto-like game that’s a snap to learn, abundantly available in lots of different variations, and one that might return millions of dollars for people who master its many subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basic rules here.

When explaining keno to novices, some betting masters compare it to bingo. This is at least to a certain degree apt, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to underestimate the endless unique aspect that make keno so entertaining. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the power to pick the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is granted an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as he or she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your desired numbers with a standardball point pen like you used back in school.

Once you’ve marked your numbers, carry your game card back to the clerk at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) expensive bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and would like to help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will get exactly $.00 for your actions.

OK, so there you have strategy number one: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let’s get on to something a little bit more complex, shall we?

After you’ve marked your numbers, settle into a nice keno booth and watch the action happen on a monitor. That is where the winning numbers are displayed in lights. If you picked winners, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You need to get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and a new keno game will surely start up within a few minutes.

Strategy number 2: always be sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that five-minute deadline each time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from two to twenty slips. When the maximum number of rounds (matching the amount of tickets) is played, you can then get off your numb bum and go collect your winnings.

Still another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which commonly allows you make number picks for 30 keno games or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

And now you have learned a couple of required techniques for winning keno. If you are an adept player, they may seem to be quite obvious. But it will never hurt to bone up on the basics, and if you are a beginner user, every little bit of direction will help make your keno games more agreeable.
