Keno Strategies That Win

It may not often be thought of as the best game in the world of gaming, but keno has massive amounts of devoted followers. And so it should! It’s a routinely exciting lottery-style game that’s uncomplicated to pickup, abundantly available in tons of alternate variations, and one that may return mega-dollars for players who learn its countless subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basics here.

When explaining keno to novices, some betting experts compare it to bingo. This is at least partially apt, in that each game is basically numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far will be to discount the great many unique characteristics that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the ability to pick the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the player is granted an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he wants. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your chosen numbers with a every day oldmarker like you used when you were in school.

Once you have checked your numbers, carry the game card back to the keno pit manager at the keno stand. The person will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers you and wants help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will be given exactly $.00 for your actions.

So, there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let us get on to something a little more complex, ok?

Once you’ve picked out your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and observe the action happen on a monitor. That is where the winning numbers appear in lights. If you’ve got winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to move to slowly, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You must get back to the keno booth to get your winnings, and a new round of keno will certainly begin within 5 minutes.

Strategy number two: always make it back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 tickets. When the maximum number of games (fitting the number of tickets) is played out, you should then get off your lazy rump and go collect your winnings.

Yet another option is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which commonly allows you make number picks for thirty rounds or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" game tickets are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

So now you are aware of a couple of required schemes for winning keno. If you are an accomplished user, they may appear to be very obvious. But it will not hurt to study up on the fundamentals, and if you are a beginner player, every bit of advice will help make your keno games more exciting.
