It will not usually be seen as the funnest game in the realm of gaming, but keno has massive amounts of keen supporters. As well it should! It’s a regularly entertaining lotto-type game that’s a breeze to master, abundantly available in lots of different variations, and one that will pay out millions of dollars for people who learn its limitless subtle nuances. But let’s deal with the beginner’s rules for now.

When describing keno to novices, some gaming pros compare it to lotto. This is at least in some measure correct, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. After you’ve marked your numbers, take the card back to the girl at the keno booth. The person will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning ticket on you, you will collect precisely $.00 for your actions.

Now there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let us go on to something a little bit more useful, shall we?

After you’ve marked your numbers, settle into a nice keno booth and watch the action unfold on the monitor. This is where the winning numbers are shown for us. If you selected winners, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to take your time, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You really want to get up to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, since a new round of keno will almost certainly get going within 5 minutes.

Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can not trust yourself to beat that five-minute margin each and every time, you always retain the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the max amount of rounds (matching the number of tickets) is played out, you are then able to get off your numb bum and go collect your winnings.

Yet an additional alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which normally allows you make number selection for thirty keno rounds or more. Golly, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers.
