Keno Strategies That Make Money
It might not commonly be considered the best game in the world of gambling, but keno has millions of zealous supporters. And so it should! It’s a constantly exciting lotto-ish game that’s simple to learn, readily available in loads of assorted styles, and one that may pay out mega-dollars for people who learn its many subtle nuances. But let’s begin with the basics for now.
When describing keno to newcomers, some betting connoisseurs compare it to the lottery. This is at least in some measure apt, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. However, to take that comparison too far can be to devalue the innumerable unique traits that make keno so exciting. Not like bingo, keno gamblers have the power to pick the numbers for each and every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is granted an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to select as numerous (or as few) numbers as she needs. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a ordinaryball point pen like you used back in school.
After you’ve checked your numbers, take your card back to the person at the keno stand. The girl will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will be given exactly $.00 for your time spent.
And there you have strategy #1: always make sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s advance to something a bit more complicated, ok?
Once you’ve picked your numbers, get into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action unfold on the keno monitor. This is where the winning numbers are displayed for us. If you’ve got winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to move to slowly, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get back to the keno booth to collect your winnings, and a new drawing will surely start up within five minutes.
Strategy number 2: always make sure to get back to the keno booth on time!
Assuming you don’t trust yourself to meet that five-minute margin each and every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the maximum number of games (matching the amount of tickets) is finished, you should then get off your numb butt and go retrieve your winnings.
Yet an additional option is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which commonly lets you make number selection for 30 games or more. Hell, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to fret about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
And now you are aware of a number of indispensable techniques for winning keno. If you are a skillful user, they might appear to be incredibly obvious. But it won’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a newbie keno player, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno games more exciting.
