Keno Methods That Win
It will not often be looked at as the most lucrative game in the realm of gaming, but keno has loads of devout players. And so it should! It’s a constantly exciting lotto-esque game that’s a snap to play, abundantly available in several different variations, and one that might yield millions for gamblers who learn its uncounted subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basic rules for now.
When defining keno to newcomers, some gambling experts compare it to bingo. This is at least to a certain degree apt, in that both games are essentially numerical. However, to take that comparison too far would be to downplay the countless unique characteristics that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the power to pick the numbers for each card.
Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the user is granted an increased degree of personal responsibility by being able to determine as numerous (or as few) numbers as she desires. And it doesn’t take a super genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your chosen numbers with a good oldpen like you used when you were in third grade.
After you have checked your numbers, carry the keno card back to the girl at the keno booth. The clerk will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will collect precisely $.00 for your actions.
So, there you have strategy numero uno: always make sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s advance to something a little bit more useful, ok?
After you’ve selected your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action happen on the screen. That’s where the winning numbers show up for all to see. If you’ve got winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to move to slowly, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You really want to get up to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and then a new round of keno will likely start up within not too many minutes.
Strategy number two: always get back to the keno stand on time!
Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that 5 minute deadline each time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the max number of rounds (the same as the amount of tickets) is played out, you may then get off your lazy bum and go get your winnings.
Still another option is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which usually allows you make number selection for 30 games or more. Hell, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after purchase!
And now you are aware of a number of essential methods for winning keno. If you are an adept gambler, they may seem very obvious. But it will never hurt to bone up on the basic methods, and if you are a beginner gambler, every tiny bit of information will help make your keno playing time more captivating.
