Keno Methods That Work
It will not generally be seen as the best game in the arena of gambling, but keno has tons of devout enthusiasts. And why not? It’s a regularly entertaining lotto-like game that’s a breeze to learn, abundantly available in many assorted variations, and one that can yield mega-dollars for people who learn its limitless subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basic facts here.
When describing keno to newbies, some wagering experts compare it to lotto. This is at least to a certain extent apt, in that both games are essentially numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far might be to misunderstand the innumerable unique characteristics that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the power to select the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is given an increased degree of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as he or she needs. And it doesn’t take a super genius to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your desired numbers with a standard#2 pencil like you had when you were in grade 3.
Once you have picked your numbers, carry your keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The girl will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) expensive bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your winning card.
And there you have strategy number one: always make sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s advance to something a bit more complicated, ok?
After you’ve picked your numbers, get yourself into a comfy keno booth and watch the action take place on a monitor. That is where the winning numbers appear for all to see. If you have winning numbers, mark your card aptly. Be sure not to take too much time, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You need to get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, as a new keno game will almost certainly get going within not too many minutes.
Strategy number 2: always make sure to get back to the keno stand on time!
Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from two to 20 cards. When the maximum amount of games (the same as the number of tickets) is finished, you will then be able to get off your numb bum and go retrieve your winnings.
Yet an additional alternative is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which normally lets you make number selection for thirty rounds or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to worry about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
So now you know a couple of necessary methods for winning keno. If you are an experienced keno player, they may seem to be stupidly obvious. Still, it will not hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a new user, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno playing time more fun.
