Keno Tactics That Win

It might not generally be considered the funnest game in the world of wagering, but keno has huge amounts of passionate fans. And it should! It’s a routinely entertaining lotto-type game that’s easy to learn, readily available in many assorted formats, and one that will pay out millions of dollars for those who master its innumerable subtle rules. But let’s deal with the basic facts here.

When explaining keno to amateurs, some gambling connoisseurs compare it to lotto. This is at least in some ways correct, in that both games are essentially numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far might be to underrate the great many unique characteristics that make keno so exciting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the ability to select the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is granted an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as numerous (or as few) numbers as he desires. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your chosen numbers with a good old#2 pencil like you used back in school.

After you’ve checked your numbers, take your keno card back to the clerk at the keno stand. The nice person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to lose this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will win precisely $.00 for your winning card.

And there you have strategy #1: always make sure to keep your keno ticket. Let us get on to something a tiny bit more complicated, ok?

Once you’ve marked your numbers, get into a comfortable keno booth and see the action unfold on a video monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are shown for us. If you selected winners, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to dilly dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You really want to get up to the keno booth to get your winnings, as a new keno game will certainly start up within a few minutes.

Strategy #2: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to meet that 5 minute margin each time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the very same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the max number of rounds (the same as the amount of tickets) is finished, you may then get off your numb butt and go retrieve your winnings.

Yet an additional option is recognized as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which usually lets you make number selection for thirty rounds or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to redeem your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!

So now you have learned a couple of required techniques for winning keno. If you are an adept player, they might appear to be quite obvious. However, it won’t hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a novice user, every bit of information will help make your keno gambling more enjoyable.
