Keno Strategies That Win
It won’t ordinarily be deemed the funnest game in the world of betting, but keno has millions and millions of fanatical enthusiasts. And why not? It’s a routinely entertaining lottery-esque game that’s uncomplicated to learn, abundantly available in several alternate formats, and one that will pay out millions for players who master its countless subtle nuances. But let’s start with the beginner’s rules here.
When describing keno to newcomers, some wagering masters compare it to lotto. This is at least tolerably apt, in that both games are essentially numerical. However, to take that comparison too far would be to underrate the endless unique characteristics that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno enthusiasts have the ability to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to determine as numerous (or as few) numbers as he desires. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your selected numbers with a every day oldpen like you had back in the day.
Now that you’ve marked your numbers, carry your game card back to the nice person at the keno stand. The nice person will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning ticket on you, you will collect precisely $.00 for your efforts.
OK, so there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s move on to something a bit more complicated, what do you think?
After you’ve picked your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action take place on the big keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers appear for all to see. If you have winners, mark your card appropriately. Make sure not to drag your feet, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get back to the keno booth to collect your winnings, since a new round of keno will probably start within 5 minutes.
Strategy number 2: always get back to the keno stand on time!
Assuming you do not trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline each time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 tickets. When the maximum number of keno games (the same as the amount of tickets) is completed, you can then get off your numb back side and go retrieve your winnings.
Yet an additional choice is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually allows you make number picks for 30 keno games or more. Hell, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!
And now you know several required techniques for winning keno. If you are an accomplished gambler, they might seem very obvious. Still, it will never hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a beginner player, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno betting more captivating.
